Podcast Downloads Disappear

Podcast that I download do not stay downloaded when I close and reopen app. App is up to date. I've deleted and reuploaded the app. Checked all settings, and this shouldn't be happening. Songs and playlists remain downloaded, but podcasts do not.

I'm experiencing a very similar issue on Android. I tried all your suggestions but nothing! Yesterday, hundreds of previously downloaded podcast episodes disappeared, freeing about 15 GB of storage. I now have only 10 downloaded episodes remaining, all downloaded within the last month! Spotify briefly shows the correct number of downloaded episodes when I open "Your Episodes", but after about a second it changes to only 10. The missing episodes are also unavailable in Airplane Mode, so this isn't just an online display issue. Device: Samsung Galaxy A12 Storage: Internal storage (no SD card) Spotify version: 9.1.78.2218 Spotify app data: 1.18 GB Android free storage increased from ~2 GB to ~17 GB Clearing the cache did not help. Could you please investigate whether this is related to the current podcast download issue?

Since you've already gone through the steps mentioned in this thread, we'd like to check whether Android might be restricting Spotify's background storage access on your device:

1. Open Settings > Apps > Spotify > Battery and make sure Spotify is set to Unrestricted.
2. Go to Settings > Device care > Battery > Background usage limits.
   • Check whether Spotify appears under Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps.
   • If it does, remove it from those lists.
3. Open Settings > Apps > Spotify > Mobile data and ensure Allow background data usage is enabled.

Something else that's worth a shot is going to Your Episodes and clicking the gear icon to access the settings -> Manage -> Set Remove played episodes to Never. Also, could you let us know whether the downloads disappeared after a specific event, such as a device reboot, if the app was force-closed, after several hours of inactivity, or after a Spotify update?
