My Question or Issue

After replacing of my Credit Card the payments stopped. I didn't use Spotify for few months. Now when I want to renew the payments, the iOS app does not allow me to even enter the setup to fill in new card number. It sticks on a pop-up window with the only option: DOWNGRADE to free version. I wonder if the downgrading would delete my Favourites library. That would be so stupid, the Spotify company definitely should not punish the users.

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Your Spotify account and all the music you've saved is not affected by changing or canceling a subscription. This means that you keep all playlists and the tunes that are saved to Your Library, no matter the subscription status.

As you mentioned that you replaced the payment details that were connected to the Premium subscription, your account most likely reverted back to our free service. This is why you're seeing this notification within the app as a confirmation. After clicking on Downgrade, you should be able to use the app on the free service and access Your Library right away.

If you'd like to upgrade to Premium again, you just need to head over to this page to resubscribe.
