I have a similar issue. On mobile, pressing 'update' does nothing: no error, no refresh. On desktop, clicking 'update' gives "Something went wrong. Please try again." I have several playlists scheduled to refresh weekly on different days. I used to check them every morning for something new. Now they've just stopped refreshing entirely.
Hey @pizzicatoiv,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We moved your post to a new thread for visibility, hope you don't mind.
In this type of case, since 2 different devices have similar issues when updating the playlists, would you mind confirming if you have any VPN active during the process? If so, turn it off and try again to see if it makes any difference.
Also, it would be great if you could try with a different Wi-Fi connection or mobile data to see if the issue persists.
Lastly and if you haven't tried yet, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on your device. This step is frequently ignored, but it can assist in eliminating any cache that may be causing issues.
Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes
I am not on VPN. I followed the clean install steps on mobile. I still get the same behavior: pressing "Update" on the prompted playlist screen does nothing, no error, no update. I tried on 3 different prompted playlists. same result.
Hey @pizzicatoiv,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.
Taking into account that this is a recently released feature and that is not fully rolled out yet, that could be possibly the reason why. So it would be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device, such as a friend or a family member, to see if it has the same behavior.
If it works with a different account, we'd recommend waiting for the feature to fully rollout. Bear in mind that Spotify is always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall, so you or someone else may see something new or get a limited feature temporarily on the app.
If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
Hi, yes, another account can refresh their own prompted playlist. Is this to test whether the feature is broken for all users on spotify? It's broken on my account. So there's just no solution, explanation, or time estimate?
Hey @pizzicatoiv,
Thank you for keeping in contact.
At the moment, we don't have an exact date for this to be resolved or any additional information about this topic, but we'd recommend keeping your Spotify app updated, so you don't miss any future improvements. We appreciate your feedback.
