My Question or Issue
My recently played songs has a roughly 10 hour block of streams missing on my iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone XR. On my Macbook Pro’s Spotify, the recently played tab has been perfectly tracking my listening history despite the fact i was listening on my phone. I don’t believe that those streams have been officially tracked despite what my Macbook is saying. In the past this issue has resolved itself in a matter of hours but this time it's taking much longer than usual.
same! it’s also showing songs i’ve added, but won’t show my recently played till hours after i actually played the songs. and it’s messing with my airbuds too, it says i listened to songs just minutes ago that i actually played hours ago
I'm having this issue too, it's showing in order in my library but not showing up in recents until quite a few hours later even after uninstalling and reinstalling. I'm assuming this is an issue on Spotify's end.
Yes, I found this problem since last night

My Question or Issue
Since yesterday, Spotify is not tracking my recently played songs. It started with my Stats.FM app tracking songs I had listened to with the wrong time (ie I listened at 20.45 but it said I had listened to it in the future at 02.45). Today, I have listened to many songs but only 4 have been registered in the Spotify recently played list or the Stats.FM app. I have cleared cache, removed downloads, logged out, deleted and reinstalled the app (in conjunction with turning my phone off and on) and logged back in and the issue persists. How do I fix this?
Same duration I've been having issues for. Some songs I listened to this morning have only just showed up in recently played now, so it's definitely a Spotify problem.
I'm having the exact same issue. Followed all tips to clear it but mine only shows 2 songs listened to today when in reality it's nearer 30 so far. All songs from 3pm yesterday either showed overnight or haven't yet appeared.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for reaching out.
Since many of you have reported this same issue around this time, it's definitely something worth looking into. Firstly, we have a similar, albeit not exactly identical issue with Recently Played that we're looking into. See this thread for more info on that.
If the behaviour you have is indeed different, could you please provide us the following:
With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
Keep us posted.
Hi, I'm also having the same issue. It started yesterday at 3pm and overnight some of my listened to songs appeared but not all.
This morning I've had music on since 9am but only 3 songs show as recently played. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy android & have tried listening on my tv too but the songs still don't appear as recently played.
Hello, i am having this exact same problem. I have tried to log in and log back out, reinstalling the app, and restarting my device, but the songs i play don’t get added to my recents until some time later. i also tried to see if this problem also occurs on another device and it does.
Same
Some songs (but definitely not most) are now showing up on the recents list but they are not in the order I played them or (according to Stats.Fm) when I played them (says I played a song 1 minute ago which I played several hours ago). I have the latest iOS and Spotify updates and have tried a clean reinstall several times.
I've been having a similar issue and it's been messing up my last.fm too. When i play a song, it doesn't appear on my recently played until hours after. For example, I played Cygnus X-1 last night but it appears as having played today which isn't the case
My library versus my recents at the same time (Android 14 for the record). They're both in the wrong order and not updated properly, but I can still view the recents section so the other suggested issue isn't what's happening here.
I see duplicates of earlier plays/scrobbles in my Last.fm profile when pausing the desktop app Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.65.255.g85e641b4 e.g. with a playlist and then continuing playback later. The related thread on the Last.fm support forum with many similar user reports is this one:
This feature is broken again today, it hasn’t been updated in hours now. I logged out and back in twice as suggested and all of my software is up to date.

Hey folks,
thanks for posting on the Community!
There were recently issues loading the Spotify webpages and the app, but things should now be up and running again!
If it sound similar to what you were experiencing as well, you can have a look at this Ongoing Issues thread for some more details. Just make sure to restart the app before giving the service another try as well.
Should this behavior persist, however, please let us know what troubleshooting steps you've tried (if you haven't already), so we can pass it on to the right teams. For example, this includes reinstalling the app, different internet connection, another device, etc.
Cheers!
Still having issues four days later. My library versus recents once again. Sort it out please, will add attachments again shortly.
