Song Arranging

Song Arranging

So It would be a really nice and helpful feature if you could hold and drag your songs in your liked songs ANYWHERE within that list. The queues are alright but sometimes I want to have the ability to drag certain songs together so that they play in that order. You guys are almost there! Because im already able to drag the song but i cant place it anywhere within the list (sad face). Please consider it よろしくお願いします

the link above takes you to a screen recording of being able to move the track but the inability to place the track in a desired spot within the list

Hey @Virtualx,

That's correct, your Liked songs playlist is generated by Spotify so if you want to rearrange the order of the tracks, you'll need to transfer them to a new playlist that you've created with these steps:

  1. Open the Liked songs playlist on your computer.
  2. Click the first song, then hold Shift and click the last song, or use Ctrl+A (Windows) / Cmd+A (Mac) to select all.
  3. Right-click the selected songs and choose Add to playlist - New playlist or choose one of your existing playlists.

Note: this can also be done in the web player, however, you don't have to option to use Ctrl/Cmd + A there.

Hope this helps!

Hi there, @Virtualx!

Welcome to the Spotify Community! I've moved your post to the Help boards where it fits better.

You should be able to rearrange the songs in your playlist via drag & drop by selecting 'Edit' either at the top of the playlist or from the three dots menu. Upon saving, the changes will be reflected when you sort by 'Custom order'.

⚠️ Note: This is only possible in playlists you've personally created, meaning you can't manually rearrange other users' playlists, but you can change the sort order instead to sort by artist, song title, recently added or even the creator's own custom order.

More info on how to sort, filter and search on Spotify can be found here.

Hope you found this useful. In case you meant something else, feel free to elaborate further so we can take a closer look 👍

Cheers!

Alright thanks Yordan, i was today old about personal playlists, since i only have all my songs in the “Liked Songs” tab about 815 but i can’t rearrange them. Guess that would mean transferring all liked songs to a playlist then?
