Songs added to playlist on desktop don't appear anywhere else

Support says they solved it months ago, but it is definitely still happening on current versions.

If you add a song on the Web Player, does it show up on the desktop app or the mobile app?

Added a song via the web player, it shows up on mobile (Android) but not on desktop (Windows)

Try signing out and back into Spotify desktop twice. This should force a resync of data.
