My Question or Issue

Every week or so, a random song gets removed from my playlist at random.
I can't check another playlist cause it's my only one. I reinstalled spotify from both devices. I reset the password twice and logged all devices out multiple times. Contacted support a couple of times to check what songs got removed, they've been able to tell me but it gets really annoying to contact support each time. Additionally, the support haven't been able to help the problem. Any ideas on how to make it stop?

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

As a next step, we recommend checking for anything suspicious on your account page and removing all apps connected to your account. If you notice anything suspicious you can remove it with the Remove access button. You can easily reconnect the apps that you use whenever you want.

 

We understand that you've logged out everywhere before, but keep in mind this doesn’t include partner devices (ex. speakers, games consoles, and TVs), so for those go to your apps page and choose Remove Access as well.

Thanks for the response @IKINGHA and kudos for already going over all of these steps.

 

It seems like this issue is isolated to this specific playlist. Since the standard troubleshooting hasn't stopped the songs from disappearing, let's try a fresh start by recreating it. On both desktop and mobile, you can easily copy your tracks by opening the playlist > clicking the three dots > selecting 'Add to other playlist' > 'New playlist'. Monitor this new version for a while to see if the same behavior would persist.

Hi, It sometimes went like a month or two without anything happening so I thought it was solved when it didn't, so I need actuall proof it works because I already been told the problem wouldn't come back a couple times already. And is there a way of returning the songs back as I don't lknow which songs got removed?

We understand the frustration and we're committed to keep working on a solution for you. Creating a brand new playlist from the current one would help us understand if the issue is isolated to that specific playlist you've been having issues with. In this case, we recommend keeping an eye on this new playlist for a couple of weeks to see if the issue has been solved. If it resurfaces, don't hesitate to let us know and we'll be here to help.

 

On another note, we're afraid we as mods don't have access to your account from the forum so in order to assist you further with the missing songs, we suggest that you reach out to us internally

Hi. I duplicated the playlist and it still happens

Have you noticed if this occurs with songs that were added in a specific way? For example, were they Smart Shuffle recommendations? I'd recommend sorting the playlist by Recently added (so that the latest additions are on top) and monitoring it to see if the songs you added last are disappearing.

 

Also, pay attention to the songs you interact with and if you notice a specific pattern like only songs you added from your phone being affected or this occurring when pressing X on a song recommendation, feel free to share it here.

They're getting removed at complete randomness.

Based on our attempts to troubleshoot the issue so far, we're afraid it doesn't seem like something, which we can easily solve from the forum, since we don't have access to user accounts here. Since you've already been in touch with our teams backstage and you know how that works, it might be worth trying to look deeper into this with them. We know this isn't ideal and we really appreciate all your efforts so far and hope this gets resolved for you!
