My Question or Issue

If I transfer a playlist to my sons account, if I then delete it will it still be available permanently on his account? Thanks

Hey @Janice02, welcome to the Spotify Community!

If your playlist is saved on the other account, and you delete the original playlist, it will be gone from the other account as well.

To make sure it stays on the other account, instead of saving you can create a playlist copying the contents of the original one. In that way, it will not be linked to the original one, hence unaffected by its existence.

You can do this in two ways:

  1. Click the options for the playlist (3 dots or right click) and click add to other playlist.
  2. Use the Spotify Desktop App or the Web Player to copy and paste all the songs from there to another playlist.

I hope that helps. If you have any other questions, do let me know.
