Unable to Remove Discontinued Podcasts from Library

My Question or Issue

There are some Podcasts which have been discontinued from the app, but I am unable to remove, or even unpin, them from my library.

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community. 

Could you let us know what exactly happens when you try to remove those podcasts? You should be able to remove them by long pressing them and choosing the "Stop following", or "Unpin podcast" options depending on what you'd like to do. 

 

If this is not how it works on your end, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

Just to make sure we cover all bases, do you notice any difference after reinstalling the app? You can do so by following the steps listed here.

It's also worth checking if you're able to remove (unfollow) the podcast from another device, as well as from the Web Player.

Shouldn't this do the trick, it would be great if you could confirm what's happening from your end, as mentioned earlier in the thread by @Eni. If you include a video in your reply, just make sure to mask any personal info, as this is a public forum.

My Question or Issue

I have a number of podcasts in my library which have been discontinued/removed from Spotify. However they still show up and cannot be removed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice, and logged in and out, also twice. I’ve refreshed and deleted the cache, and they’re still there.

Clicking on them just gives me the option to pin the podcast, and I cannot visit the podcast’s page, as it comes up with “sorry, that content’s not currently available in your region.”

I just want to remove these podcasts!

If you're experiencing this issue, we'd suggest checking out all of @Eni 's and @Maria 's suggestions above to see if those make any difference. 

In case that doesn't do the trick, make sure to let us know the affected device's make, model, OS version and the Spotify version.
