Why do certain artist that I follow list a number of songs?

My Question or Issue

When I follow an artist, the artist tab usually just list the artists with the word "following" below the name of each. However, for some artists, it l it says "following" and then lists a number of songs (i.e. "Following - 41 songs"). I thought this was the number of songs I had liked from the artists, but I have now unliked all songs and the number still shows up.  It also doesn't seem to be related to the number of songs in my playlists by those artists or the number of downloads. Any ideas?
