Just like the title says, I'm currently unable to remove songs from my release radar and discover weekly playlists. The small "-" button that I would normally use for this just doesn't exist anymore. This issue exists on my PC, phone and on the web application, so I'm starting to think that this is not only limited to my account, anybody else got the same issue?
(all apps are on the newest version)
So the Hide feature is back for me, both on mobile and desktop
Gone again on desktop as of today.
Why are you doing this @spotify, it's annoying Please stop this test
I'm using Spotify Web (not the application) on Windows 10. This issue first appeared last week. The hide song button is gone. I don't know if this is Spotify trying to test out some shitty new feature, but what is the point of this? Who would benefit from this? Who benefits from users having 95% trash in their Discover Weekly playlists? Absolute shitbrain decision-making if this is a "study".
Thanks.
same issue
I'm not sure why such a basic feature was removed from the Discover Weekly and Release Radar playlists. Not having control over Spotify's suggestions for your personal music taste seems like a misstep, if not a step backwards.

My Question or Issue
how long does this """""""test"""""" last
I'm an Android user, the "Hide" button is available in Playlists, however when playing the "hidden" songs are NOT skipped - this is frustrating as a Premium User.
I hope there is a solution coming soon.
Thank you in advance Omega
Its making me not want to use the app. Release radar and Discover weekly are my main way to find new songs I like and now I have to listen to the annoying songs over and over again cause the button to hide it is gone.
cancelling my family account because of this, i'll just use youtube music, anything is better than having a bad artist being recommended that I can't exclude from future recommendations. insane this was removed. it's still there on the app, why remove it from the web player. i get you probably want people to only use the app so you actively make the web player experience bad but man, just awful
2024 and this "test" is still going on. More and more Spotify seems to choose to ignore what users want and force on them what Spotify wants. Too much more of these never ending forced negative features and it will be time to get rid of Spotify.
January 2025 and the dislike button in Discovery Week is gone again.
Dear Spotify, please put it back again. I have the right to choose which music I wanna listen to, including rejecting some of your weekly suggestions.
yeah same for me on my discover weekly playlist, although I can remove them on my phone which sadly doesn't transfer to my PC. but it's back on my release radar, so hopefully it's already fixed and just waiting for a playlist update
It looks like they're running this test again..? The button is gone for me and I hate it. I don't go through those lists in one go and the hide button is crucial for me to know where I left off last time. I also work my way through the lists by eliminating songs I dislike and narrowing it down that way, sometimes through multiple listening cycles. With the hide button gone, discover weekly and release radar are too much of a hassle to use for me.
Most people would build a new house before they burn down their old house. GET ON WITH IT! Discover Weekly is nearly useless if I can't filter out music I hate.
Pretty disappointed in a feature removal in favor of... something? I guess if you wanted to be absolutely abhorrent as a company, you could move forward with forcing songs on users in the hopes that labels and bands will pay more for "forced" listening.
