disable "swipe through previews."

This new 'swipe through previews' thing (by what used to be the heart) plays a distracting animation every time I go to an album. I don't care about it and it takes up space. How can I get rid of it?

Also, why do you never add toggles in settings to disable the new random features you pile into the app?

I doubt it can be turned off. I don’t understand the feature at all; it reminders me a little of a preview feature the iTunes player had years ago that no one used. It seems like a desperate attempt to capture the “magic” of TikToks and Reels.

Spotify could fire 80% of their developers and their product would improve.

In the desktop/web version, I added the following rule in uBlock Origin to get rid of it.

open.spotify.com##.K06ol8ltPT_atXE_JjUP

Probably won't last forever, in which case, just use the "picker" (eyedropper tool) in uBlock Origin to remove it.
