2.4.0.1822 bad reception handling

To me it seems, that the bad reception handling when streaming - not playing offline - somehow has changed on IOS: in earlier versions, there were to modals - you either had reception and it would play or you had no reception and there would be an awkward pause.
But now, when reception is lagging, there are quality glitches in the music. Like getting slower and having weird noises.
In my opinion as an audiophile this is even more awkward than stopping for a few seconds.

Perhaps it's possible to cache even more data to avoid having those glitches.
