When I select „not interested on this playlist“ four times, app is crashing. Reinstall and log out / login didn’t help. It always crashes after four times on home screen.

Hey @Naxterra,

Thank you for posting in the Community!

This behavior of the app sounds odd indeed. We'd like to investigate this deeper, but we'd need some more info. Could we ask you to share with us a short screen recording of the situation, so we can take a closer look and be able to replicate your steps on our end. You can send a link to the video file or attach it (if it's less than 5MB) using the Insert Video option in the post editor.

We'll be keeping an eye out for your reply, thanks!

Hello

Size is 52 MB, so I am sharing via BW Send

Hey @Naxterra,

Thanks for sharing the link.

Due to security reasons we're unable to open it. Do you mind posting the video on YouTube or using Google Drive to share it?

Cheers!

iOS Issue - YT

Hey there @Naxterra

Thanks for sending us this info.

We tried this on our end, but we couldn't replicate it.

In this case, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?

If this doesn't doesn't do the trick, we suggest that you head to General > Background App Refresh and turn this option Off.

If you're still experiencing this issue afterwards, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your iPhone and check if the same happens using their account?

We'll be on the lookout.

Hello

I followed below instructions.

  1. Open Spotify. In the app's settings (you can access them by going to Home and then tapping the gear icon in the top right corner), tap Storage then Delete Cache.
  2. Head to your device's Settings, then tap General.
  3. Tap iPhone Storage.
  4. Select Spotify from the list of apps.
  5. Tap Offload the app and confirm. This will delete the app but its documents data will be kept.
  6. Then tap Delete App and confirm. This action should delete any leftover documents and data.
  7. Once the app is deleted, press and hold the Side/Top button and either volume button until the power off slider appears.
  8. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  9. After your device turns off, wait a couple of minutes.
  10. Press and hold the Top (or Side) button again until the display turns on.
  11. Switch your device back on and install Spotify from the App Store.

At first try all was fine. I selected not interested to more than 15 playlist / album / tracks. Then I force closed app, reopened it, and issue happened again. I tried both from my wifi and 5G.

I also wrote to support team, and tried with their test user. I had the same issue with that user too. I sent them another video.

Hey there @Naxterra

Thanks for your reply.

It looks like the video hasn't attached correctly. Would you mind giving it a try again?

On another note, could you log in to your account on a different phone to check if the same happens? We're trying to check if this is device related.

Keep us in the loop.

Hi @Naxterra

Thanks for getting back to us.

We checked, but it seems the video is set to private so we couldn't see it. Would you mind trying again?

Also, just to make sure, could you try logging in to your account on a different phone?

Let us know how it goes.

Hello

I uploaded two videos to YT. One made with Spotify provided account and other one is with my own account. I don't have second iOS device, so I cannot test it, but I did test with Android emulator (Bluestacks) in my Windows 11 and it didn't crash there.

Could you share the Spotify version installed on your device, just to make sure you're running the latest one?

We'll then relay the provided information and the videos to our tech team.

Keep us posted,
