App freezing on first song played on IOS

In the past week the App stays showing the first song selected even when other songs are playing afterwards. This is on an iPhone. I have to totally shut down the App and restart it. It then shows the current song being played. However once this song is finished and a new one starts. The App still shows the first song being played.

First up, it's well worth running a clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind checking if the same happens while using a different internet connection?

Lastly, it's worth checking if the OS of your phone has any pending updates.
