App is crashing when starting a podcast

We've been receiving reports that starting podcasts in the mobile app causes it to crash. This is happening both on Apple and Android devices and it's not specific podcasts.

My Question or Issue

I just wanted to listen to a podcast and I clicked on it and my app crashed. It tried it several times with different podcasts, but it’s crashing all the time.

I am also having the same issue. It was fine this morning, but now in the afternoon trying to start a podcast the whole app crashes. I have restarted my phone, redownloaded the app, cleared the cache etc, but still not resolved.

Anytime I press play on any episode of this podcast, Spotify shuts down. I have EXPLICIT content ON. 

I already uninstalled, updated, cleared cache, restarted, signed out, signed in again, help.

My Question or Issue

The spotify app keeps crashing on my android when i click to open it. I have tried different wifi networks as well as mobile data. I have also confirmed the app is fully updated.

I’m also experiencing this. I tried uninstalling and re-downloading the app a couple times, but that didn’t fix it.

This is happening for me, too. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify, cleared my cache, cleared my downloaded episodes, ect. It just started happening within the last hour or 2. Also a Spotify premium member with a Samsung Galaxy S22+.

I tried the update but still, every time I click on a podcast it crashes. Trying to go to sleep with a sleep meditation podcast but can't

This also just started happening to me on my Samsung S22. Clearing the cache didnt help, updated the app, my phone is up to date. Also tried reinstalling it and rebooting my phone. The app is currently unusable.
