App keeps pausing music...?

App keeps pausing music...?

I've noticed an issue with Spotify ever since I updated to iOS 10: for whatever reason, the app will randomly pause playback and (most of the time) cause the screen to instantly darken. It only requires me tapping the screen to bring it back, but I have to manually hit 'play' again.

I have logged out and back in, deleted the app and reinstalled, and the issue persists. The music in question is not downloaded to my device, and is being streamed via cellular data. (I only use the app in my car.) I've never had this issue prior to iOS 10.

I'm using the most recent version of both the app and iOS.

Can anyone help troubleshoot this? It's really frustrating to have to hit the tiny 'play' button while driving, if on playlist view where the controls are much smaller.

Thanks!

hello someonerandom and welcome to the

spotify community!

the problem isnt spotify, its actually your device.

your device either has too little space, or it is just

your device isnt compatible to spotify. my solution

to this problem would be to either clear up some

space, or to buy spotify premium (if your a student

,you get a disount).

have a good time spotifying!

Hello!

Unfortunately, it looks like neither of these are the case. My phone (iPhone 6S+) has 20 GB free on it, and I have zero downloaded music on the Spotify app - everything is streamed.

Additionally, I am already subscribed to Spotify Premium, so that can't be it either.
