My Question or Issue

 Just got a new iPad for Christmas. But when I install Spotify app, the app is in German, although the iPad is set up in Norwegian... 

how in the world is this possible?

Hey @eliwest,

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version (e.g. iOS 12.1.2) of the operating system you're running?

I have IOS 11.4 and Spotify version 8.4.79 (in App Store)

Yes. The app is still in german after reinstalling it

That is the newest version it seems. No possibility for further updates from Apple

That's odd. There should definitely be a newer iOS version available for your device.

 

I'd recommend making sure that there's no VPN enabled on your device, and that your system language is really set to the correct language. Restarting the device could also help.

 

You can try checking for iOS updates one more time when you're connected to a different network.

I found the solution 

 

under settings- general- language and region 

 

I had German as an additional preferred language 

when i removed that and reinstalled Spotify I got the app in English 👍🏻
