Barely scrobbles to LastFM. Why?

The iphone app NEVER scrobbles to LastFM. That feature is enabled, and will SOMETIMES scrobble to LastFM if I am extremely lucky. Why is this?

Also, why are some albums available on the desktop client but not the mobile app?

For me, Spotify scrobbles on the desktop but won't through the ipad. It is definitely not a Last FM issue and surely a Spotify one. I hope this is a temporary problem.

Last.fm scrobbling from Spotify iOS always worked perfectly, but since two days suddenly Spotify mobile stopped scrobbling to last.fm.
Not ONE track appears in Last.fm anymore. (Last track two days ago)
I've tried changing password, reboot the app, reinstall the app, reboot the device, nothing helps...
I have this problem both on iPhone and iPad (both newest software)
Spotify PLEASE FIX this!

The Spotify team are aware of the scrobbling issues in the most recent client, keep an eye on the release notes topic for up to date information.

I've never had a problem with my iPhone until a couple days ago. Tried reinstalling and didnt help.

Mobile scrobbling is one of the main reasons I'm using the premium service.

I've got the exact same problem since the last app update, on my iPhone 4S and my iPad 4. Scrobbling works oonly on the desktop client. It's a spotify issue, please fix ASAP

Bought a premium subscription today and I'm really dissapointed that the scrobbling is not working on the iPhone. I am a heavy last.fm user and I will not play music unless it scrobbles. Hopefully it gets fixed soon or I will cancel my subscription.

Hi think its a new issue as until recently it worked pretty well, but last few days it doesn't scrobble from my mobile devices, my iPhone and iPad so hope they fix it soon.

Facing the same problems over here. My iPhone5 (ios 6.1.3) doesn't scrobble anything. I checked my username and password multiple times, also tried turning scrobbling on and of, re-installing the app and turning my phone of. Nothing worked. No connection at all between the app and my lastfm profile.

My iPad, on the other hand, works fine. I haven't updated it yet to the latest version of IOS so maybe there is bug in the latest IOS update?

Hopefully, there will be some kind of a quick response.

Scrobbling to Last.fm is extremely important for me, "pay for premium" important. While you're working at this, if you could have offline mode last.fm scrobble queueing, it would be amazing.

That's something I was wondering aswell, are the scrobbles queued or are they lost? I know my foobar2000 player saves the scrobbles until there is a succesfull handshake with Last.fm. I think Spotify does something similar, but I'm not too sure the scrobbles are queued in this situation.

Jup. It's the latest update where the trouble is. Updated my iPad app a minute ago, and it magically stopped scrobbling.

Yep that's right, I recently updated iOS software and agree totally that spotify hold add offline scrobbling as recently had a flight, being offline, and nothing have been scrobbled of what I listened too during the flight

It's not the IOS update because I still haven't updated the software on my phone and it appears the problem started on iPhones at around the same time. It's a spotify issue.

Hi, the exact same problem has been happening to me since the 18th of march. The spotify mobile app for iOS is the only one that does not work. I've tried reinstalling, rebooting, restoring, turning scrobble off and on, doing in my login details again, all to no avail. I primarily use the iPad for spotify, which is why I'm paying for premium each month. Will this issue be resolved soon?
