Can’t log in to Spotify app iOS

Playlists got frozen except the shuffle option and I logged out and tried to log in again it’s just loading for a long time and then ends with an error. I tried reinstalling the app as well but still the same

I am having the same issue, Iphone 7, with Three UK, so it shouldn't be related to the mobile network

I tried everything, please help

I’m in the UK on 3 network and having the same issue. Spotify chat help say it’s an issue on apple devices

Hi folks,

Thank you for sharing your posts on the Community.

We'd like to investigate this further, so please share with us the following info:

  • The make, model and OS of your phones
  • The country registered on your account
  • Your internet provider

In the meantime, it's also worth contacting your internet providers as some users suggested, so they can check everything is okay from their end.

We'll be on the lookout.

Telstra

Thank you for your help

Issue seems to be with Telstra DNS servers.

Workaround is to change mobile internet DNS (to cloudflare or Google for example), or to simply use a low-impact VPN.

For iOS users, I suggest the free Cloudflare one from the app store (the "1(dot)1(dot)1(dot)1 Faster Internet" app).
Install, activate the VPN, then Spotify will work fine on Telstra mobile.
Hope Telstra get this sorted soon, but the workaround is pretty straightforward for me and others I've recommended it to.

Assume same will work for Android users (DNS change or simple VPN).

I’ve just wasted over an hour on the phone talking to people at Telstra. They tell me it’s not a problem on their end.

to be honest I have no other issues with Telstra or other apps only Spotify. Spotify need to pull their finger out and fix the issue as it’s a paid service that we can’t use

Looks like the issue may have been resolved now.

Was able to login to Spotify directly on Telstra mobile this morning without symptoms.

Same my Spotify is running normal again
