Hey, @takayamaredfin,

Thanks for reaching out!

Looks like the photo failed to attach. Would you mind uploading it again so we can have a clear view of what you're referring to? It's worth checking if you'd be able to open the playlist on another device or on the Web Player.

If the playlist belonged to you, it's worth checking if you'd be able to restore it from your account page.

Cheers 🤘

Hey @takayamaredfin

Thanks for sending us this photo.

Just to confirm, does this happen only on your iPhone or on other devices as well? It'd be useful if you could check.

If this only happens on your iPhone, we'd recommend logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row. This will trigger a sync between your account and device.

If this doesn't do the trick, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

Lastly, we removed the screenshot you sent as it contained private info which we don't recommend sharing in the forum.

Keep us posted.

I thought you wanted a picture of the error to help solve the issue. I don’t understand  what personal info you mean.  Is it the artists shown?

I have tried the clean reinstall multiple times. I also tried the log out  and log in again suggestion.

Hi @takayamaredfin

Thanks for your reply.

No worries, the screenshot you sent was very helpful, we removed it only because it contained your username which is private info.

On another note, could you let us know if this issue happens only with large playlists or with small ones as well?

Also, make sure to check if this happens across devices. You can try on another platform such as a computer or the web player, or you can borrow a phone from a friend or a relative and log in to your account there to test this.

We'll be waiting for your reply.

Thanks for getting back to me. So yes,  this issue only seems to be on my large playlist.  Also the issue occurs exactly the same on phone and ipad. The web player doesn’t show my library.

Hi @takayamaredfin,

Thanks for the reply.

Is this a playlist you created? Is it only that one causing you problems or all the larger ones? And when you mean "large", how many songs are we talking exactly? If you send that playlist to somebody else, are they able to open it?

Let us know how it goes.

Yes, I created it. It is large. It is 295 small lists within one playlist. About 3400 songs. It is artists arranged alphabetically, sort of like record albums arranged on a shelf alphabetically,  It is the only one with this issue.  I created it about eight years ago. Add a song to it occasionally.  It has never had a problem before.  I have not tried to send it.

Hi @takayamaredfin,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

We're not quite sure what you mean by "small lists within one playlist" as combining playlists like this isn't really possible. Is the list in question a folder perhaps? Meaning it just acts as a container where you can put loads of other playlists. More info on that here

To confirm if this is the case, could you please send us another screenshot of the issue, making sure that the username and no other sensitive info is visible? Also let us know what exactly happens when you try and open the list in question so that we can try and reproduce this on our end.

Keep us posted.

I open the app. I tap on library. I tap on playlists. I tap on artists(maybe I’m miscalling it a playlist and it’s actually a folder.)  When I open it, it loads all the way to Peter Tosh, then I get the circle icons. It’s has never been a problem

In other words, it loads the individual artists from A to P and fails to load the artists from P(Peter Tosh) to Z.  After Peter Tosh to Z(ZZ Top) it shows the aforementioned circles in the thumb nail. I’ve used this as my go to list for many years. Thank you for checking into this for me.

Hey there @takayamaredfin,

Thanks for all your replies and for the info shared.

We can confirm the right team is aware of this behavior. They're currently looking into it in this thread, so we recommend having a look at it. Make sure to post the info we asked for, so we can pass it on to the right team.

Meanwhile, we'd suggest you make sure the app is up-to-date, so you won't miss developments.

We'll be on the lookout for your replies in that thread.

Cheers!
