Cannot search anymore

It's been a while now (few weeks I'd say) that the search function is randomly working/non working with most of the time getting the result
"No results for..." although spotify is connected, up and running. (Plays and stream music from playlists)
A friend of mine has the same random problem, since a few weeks also. (Different account, different iPad)
I was used to close and restart spotify to outcome the problem (search did worked after restart) but today, the app won't search at all for the entire day..

I tried the troubleshooting procedure (clear safari cache and cookies, uninstall and reinstall the app) without success.
I use and iPad 4 non jail broken and happily used spotify since the beginning of the iPad version.
