Cant play any music

Cant play any music

Recently everything was ok(literally yesterday), but today when i’ve tried to play some music it says me “You’re trying Premium feature” but im not. Im just trying to listen music of different bands or at least my playlist. If i’ve just opened an app and trying to start music in general of band it can quickly show me many songs name, but it doesn’t make any sound. If i look on my playlist, songs in it just grey and unavailable to play

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you enjoy your music again.

 

So currently it's not possible to select or play any content within the app without getting this error, is that correct? In any case, consider the following:

  • Test if possible if the same thing happens on different devices or only on this iPhone
  • If you happen to be abroad at the moment, be advised that as a free user you can only use the app abroad for up to 14 days, so if you've just surpassed that threshold, this will stop the app from functioning correctly. More info on that here.
  • In that line of thinking, if you're using a VPN, disable it, as it can both cause the above limit to be activated incorrectly and it can generally disrupt communication with the servers.

And what i have to do, im ukrainian but if im gonna change the region it will change all my recommendations to german, but i dont want to 😼

Thank you for keeping in contact.

 

We'd always recommend making sure that the country you're currently located matches with the country registered on your account to avoid any issues with the playback. Keep in mind that you can influence the song's recommendation by listening and searching for your favorite artists, albums and tracks as recommendations are based on your taste profile as well.

Ok, you mean nothing will happen if i change region?

I'm having the same issue and I'm struggling to fix it. It's happening on my phone and tablet. Both are samsung. Both have all the songs greyed out when last night it worked fine.

I’ve changed my region settings and its fixed, try it by yourself too. If you moved to another country you would have this problem, unfortunately spotify rules access only 14 days with your native region(in my case i’ve changed from ua to de and everything is fine)

I see. I haven't moved though. So it's strange why this is happening. I could see if i could change my region and if that helps but i'm not sure it would even work

As i heard some people get this problem without moving anywhere, try using vpn or check your settings if there showed another region, if there is another region except your native, i think you have to change it unfortunately 

There isn't an option for me to change my region. It only has USA. Also, i noticed that it's just that one account, i made a new account to see if it would do the same thing. It's not. The new account is perfectly fine, but I'd rather not use it because that'd require me to like all 2,000+ songs again.

Yea, it sucks, also chat gpt said me same thing, that this problem could be as an error without moving anywhere. I can suggest you to start a new topic and describe situation to all knowing you’re not moved. Im gonna accept region settings as solution, good luck
