Car Bluetooth issue - automatically goes on repeat

Car Bluetooth issue - automatically goes on repeat

Lately I’ve noticed my car Bluetooth automatically putting my Spotify playlist/album on repeat instead of just playing through then going to recommended songs. It also seems to cancel out podcasts I have added to my queue. How do I fix this?

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community. 

 

Just to confirm, has this always happened or did it start happening after a specific event such as an update? Also, you mentioned that you can't play podcast episodes either, can you see them in the playlist, but they're skipped or when you connect your device to the car they are removed from the playlist? 
 

On another note, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. 

 

If the issue persists, could you try a with a different device to see if the same happens?

Hello Spotify,

No, it hasn't always happened. It's seemingly happened within the last few
weeks, I would say. (Sorry, I don't have a date to provide).

The podcast episodes in my queue are removed from the queue when its
connected to my Bluetooth car system. Also, the order of the tracks in the
queue is usually rearranged annoyingly.

I've just updated my Spotify on my laptop. Would that make a difference at
all?

I've done a clean reinstall on my phone. I will email you back here and let
you know how it goes.

Sorry for the slow reply. I've tried doing a clean reinstall, using another device, and with my account. Nothing has worked. For some reason, it automatically goes on repeat when connected to my car's Bluetooth. So frustrating!

Apologies, the issues you've described have been reported in the following threads and are being looked into:

Please add your device details (model, OS version and Spotify version) there and subscribe to the threads so you can be notified of any new developments.
