My Question or Issue

For a few months, if I’m playing Spotify on CarPlay, pressing the seek back button (on steering wheel, dashboard, or on locked phone) will change to the previous song played instead of restarting the current song, regardless of how far into the song I am. If it is the first song of a playlist, seek back does nothing at all. 
With the recent Spotify 8.4.56 update, the seek back button has the same behavior on a tap, but if held, instead of going back 10 seconds, it restarts the song. This only happens in CarPlay. Also, the controls act normally if the phone is unlocked with the Spotify app open.
