CarPlay Plays a different song every time.

CarPlay Plays a different song every time.

I never had that issue before, but for some days whenever I start my car, Spotify just glitch and plays any random playlist from recently played section, while a song is already playing.

I have this issue for a week or two. I tried resetting the iPhone Settings and also Log Out and Login the Spotify App. It doesn't fix.

Hey there @yousaf_virus,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

Just to check, do you notice any difference after clearing saved cache from the app? Another option is to try a clean reinstall, as this will clear cache too, as well as ensure that you're running the latest app version.

It's also worth making sure that no tracks has been added to the Play Queue. You can check it by following the steps on this page.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you let us know the model & OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version?

Let us know how you get on.

I am having the same issue. Nothing in queue, just keeps playing the same exact song either in my liked songs or “Release Radar” I’ve cleared my cache and still experience it. It would be the same song for 2 weeks or so and then another song for 2 weeks or so. I would even go in my car with Spotify closed to see if that would help, but car would open CarPlay and instantly pick a song.

Hey @Shiggieshaggie,

Thank you for joining the conversation.

To check on this behavior further, would you mind checking if connecting your phone via Bluetooth or AUX cable makes any difference? It's also worth checking if by any chance the "loop" button () is turned on. If so, turn it off to see if the issue persists.

Lastly, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on the device that is connected to your car by following the steps in this article. This step is frequently ignored, yet it offers more depth than a regular one and can assist in eliminating any cache that may be causing issues.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
