Download to other Devices empty on iOS

Download to other Devices empty on iOS

For no reason ALL the devices that USED to be available under the "download to other devices" menu are now GONE. Just one line of pixels from a random device is visible (this might be a device that's not even online!) .. if you tap precisely, you can still tap it, but it's roulette as to what device it is.

I can no longer send tracks to my apple Watch, i now have to open the watch app and individually download podcasts and tracks, and because of another bug I cannot play downloaded playlists on apple watch.

Logged out, uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same, it's baked into an update, I wish you could revert to an older version. Just like Adobe products, a new bug or seven in every update!

PLEASE fix this stupid bug that appeared out of nowhere.

Hey @stnrtn, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

Since you have already tried re-installing, I would recommend these steps:

  1. Head over to your account overview page and log into your account.
  2. Scroll down and click sign out everywhere.
  3. Log into your devices once again and download a playlist on one device, then check the list on another. See if that works.
  4. Perform a clean-install of the Spotify app using this guide on your mobile.

Let me know how it goes. 🙂

I just logged out everywhere using the home page. Nothing has changed however, still just the top line of pixels showing up as other devices. That line of pixels happens to be my apple watch since it's the only other device logged in now, but now i can't sign into to any other devices if I want to keep that line of pixels as the apple watch.

Would be nice if it was like it used to be, where you could actually see the other devices instead of just one line of pixels of whichever one happens to be on top of the list!

Hi there @stnrtn,

Thanks for your reply and for trying out the steps.

We understand you have already reinstalled the app, but we recommend performing a clean reinstall by following these steps. This is a more thorough process and can sometimes work. You won't lose any saved content, but you might have to download your offline music.

If that doesn't help, could you try logging in with a different account and check if you have the same issue? It can be a relative or friend's account. This will help us identify it this is account-related.

Lastly, let us know the exact Spotify version you have installed.

We'll be on the lookout!

None of these solutions worked, however looks like the June 25th 2025 update version 9.0.56 fixed the bug.

A coder probably accidentally added a blocking element on top of all the devices, and it just took 6 months to fix it!
