Following someone vs Sharing Music with them (Mac OS)

Why should I have to follow a Spotify User in order to send her a track (on Mac OS)?.

I know the username and I have thousands of tracks from her in my inbox but If I drop her from my following, I can no longer send her anything.

Is there anyway we can share music without publicaly announcing our followership? This is basically a privacy issue. One may want to exchange music without publically announcing it. Follwership information is advertised publically. Maybe this needs to stop?

Can someone advise?

Best regards

Parsa

Hello @user-removed /Parsa,

Well I think it's not a privacy issue .. it's a solution. If a followship wouldn't be required, spammers could send tracks out there (for example artists who want to advertise their music or just trolls). It's not possible to share tracks in-app, but if you are friends with that person on facebook/skype or whatever, you can right-click on song and copy the http/spotify URI + send it to her).
