Homepod not playing music from Spotify

My Question or Issue

I came back after a month and wanted play Spotify music via Airplay in my homepod. However, even when Spotify showing that music is played homepod just don't play anything. I tried restart and remove my homepod and nothing changed. Also music from Apple music can be played as usual without any issue. 

I'm not aware of any new updates of Homepod that could possibly ignore music from Spotify so is there any advice what I can do?

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community. 

First up, we suggest that you reset your router by unplugging it from power > waiting a couple of minutes > plugging it back. 

If this doesn't do the trick, could you give a different internet connection a go to see if the same happens? You can create a hotspot on your phone and use that. 

If the same happens with a different network, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account in your devices to check if they can replicate this behavior? This will help us determine if the issue is account-related.

My Question or Issue

Once every two, three weeks when I try to connect to my HomePod from the iOS app no sound can be heard and then the whole phone’s connection gets messed up! Not even Spotify Connect works.

Not even phone restarts help. After many efforts maybe a second of music can be heard but cuts off again.

I am not sure what triggers it, maybe the volume buttons? I tend to adjust the volume right away. It’s very frustrating to wake up and wasting so much time to play Spotify on ANY device regardless if it’s an AirPlay or Connect one .
