Hey everyone,
I know it's believed that only Spotify Rock Stars and partners (artists, brands etc. can add a picture and a description to their playlists.
I can prove this to be a myth as a friend of mine has no knowledge of the Rock Star program and does not have any form of partnered account or anything of the sort, however, they can add pictures and a description to their playlists.
The reason is unknown to me, it just appears that they are mysteriously privileged.
The account is here:

Just providing a little twist to this big topic
I realise now it would've been easier to link the playlist instead of providing a screenshot
Agreed - it would be great to be able to add your own cover images. We're a lil record label working on a batch of artist playlists. Still waitin' on our Rock Star application, fingers crossed 🙂
Where did this user click to add the artwork?
Hey @icandyart,
If you right-click like you did there, 'Edit details' should appear instead of 'Rename'.
It looks like this is available for everyone now!

Thanks Spotify
i cant believe it. you cannot REORDER the tracks or ADD YOUR OWN ARTWORK..
This cant be this hard, Soundcloud has it figured out.. If you want to be a music solution, you gotta have us have no hiccups on something so simple.
We are switching to you as out MAIN MUSIC LIBRARY. We better be able to do such simple yet crucial actions..
This is completely possible, what you'll do is click the three dots next to a playlist or right-click (computer only) and select Edit Details. From there you can change the picture and add a description.
Make sure to update your desktop Spotify app, then click the three dots on a playlist screen and select Edit Details.
Great idea, A1exei!
I tried to do that as a premium member, to no avail. But it is possible to add custom playlist artwork! To do so, you have to join the Rock Star Program. Want to be a part? This link will take you to the form: Spotify Rock Star program
Good luck!
Hey @danielharper
The feature is now available to everyone now, regardless of subscription status. Just follow the instructions posted above by @applover05, and you'll be able to do it too. 🙂
