How can I remove the “playing recommended songs for you” feature

Can you please allow removal of the new feature that has been enabled that adds songs you think I might want into the playlist I am using thus destroying my listening pleasure.  Not happy. Just added no asking if its what I want.

I absolutely hate this feature!  I want to permanently delete the "playing recommended songs for you" option.  It is playing more songs that are not on my playlist than the ones that are actually on there!  I have done as recommended and turned off the shuffle option..funny enough, about 6 seconds later it comes back on all by itself!  I feel like I am fighting with my phone.  Please please get rid of this!

Keep pressing the green intertwined arrows next to the play/pause button until it reads “recommendations removed”

I have many many times.  It automatically pops back up on in 6-10 seconds.  It won't stay off.

please stop suggesting songs to me after i have finished all the songs on my playlist, it is very annoying and i just want to listen to the same songs on repeat, not with suggestions straight after. i find it very frustrating and irritating so i think others do as well. please get it sorted. 😊💕

Rather than playing songs of my selected artists, Spotify starts playing ‘songs recommended for you’. I tried turning off ‘auto play similar content’ but that meant that the songs of the artist I was trying to play stopped playing after one song.

Did you try touching the green intertwined arrows next to the play button several times? My version has 3 choices when I press them.

One choice removes recommendations

I'm having this same problem.  It suddenly started playing ONLY recommended songs.

UGH!   Cancelling my Spotify account.   I've also been trying to turn off the stupid "Recommendations" to no avail - on both my mobile and desktop.    Losing most of my playlists but 75% of the songs played are Recommended **bleep** that I do not like!

This does not work. There is no gear icon, I turned off auto play, and the "recommended" playlist still plays even after getting out of Spotify for 2 hours. I'm ready to delete my Spotify account and create a new one. Also, when the 2 crooked arrows are pressed, it only offers you to sign up for a premium subscription - that's all. I've had it with Spotify.

I turned off Autoplay in my settings 

Which google told me would turn off all recommended songs

But they STILL played 

I'm disappointed in this app because this absolutely ruined my good mood 

I chose my playlist songs carefully and I HATED the songs Spotify gave me

Not just that

I made that specific album to only listen to a certain song album 

I'm just very angry

My Question or Issue

As most of us know, free plan users can only skip so many songs. I'm aware that when creating a custom playlist, Spotify adds songs against my will but from how I understand it and from how it's worked for the majority of my usage time, liked songs is different because those are specifically only songs I've lciked like on.

My question is why does Liked Songs just start playing random nonsense and trash I've never heard of before, have no interest in and certainly haven't ever clicked like on after two or three skips in liked songs? It's not fixable because if I switch to a different playlist and back to liked songs, it picks back up with the random hotpot of music I've never heard of or liked before. If I try to skip past the randomness, I just end up deeper and deeper in the rabbit hole of music I'm not interested in. 
I haven't been able to listen to my actual, legitimate liked songs list for over 4 months now because it doesn't play liked songs, only random music I'm not interested in.

I believe you have to have premium to make it work.
