How to get app to recognise the country i'm in now

How to get app to recognise the country i'm in now

The app incorrectly thinks I am in Malaysia (I am in Australia but was in Malaysia for a couple of hours due to travel). My account is set up to be for Australia and so now it won't let me log into/use the app anymore. How do I get my phone/the app to recognise I'm back in Australia?

You can update your account's country setting at https://www.spotify.com/account/profile/ 🙂

Thanks for the reply, however my account correctly thinks i am in Australia. So this does not solve my problem and i still can't access the Spotify on my phone through the app 😞 I've tried uninstalling the app to see if it now recognises that i am in Australia but no difference.

What error message are you getting and is it present only on the mobile app?

Make sure you're not using any VPN services and, just in case - double-check if the country settings are correctly set by following the steps here.

thank you! turned off the VPN and that worked!
