Importing Local Files bug

I have a few questions regarding some local files. First, I know there is a bug with the mobile app which deletes all the local files every time the app is update. Does anyone know when that will be addressed?

Second, is there any way that the playlists I import from iTunes can automatically converted into Spotify tracks instead of local files? I know I could individually go in and replace all the local files that have a match on Spotify but I didn't know if there was a faster way.

1: The developers are currently looking into this bug. Hopefully a fix will be coming soon.

2: There is no other way to do this.
