Local Files

I have my local files on my desktop but I cannot get them on my IPhone. I have allowed access past the firewall for Spotify, hit download on the playlist on my Mac and phone, logged in and out of both versions, I have tried everything. Can someone please help me?

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with this.

There are a couple of things to consider. First, the files have to be .mp3 or .m4p (without video). So after importing them on your desktop, check if Spotify plays the files. Next, you need to make sure all devices have the latest version of Spotify. Lastly, all devices need to be on the same WiFi network. 

If all this is done, you should drag your local files into Spotify and put them in a playlist. After you've done this, they should show up in a playlist on your other devices. You should now be able to download the files on all your devices.
