Local Music Won't Download

I'm having an issue where I want to download some 70+ songs from my Mac to my iPhone, but no matter what I do, they just won't download.  I'm at wits end here and would really like some help with this.

I had local music on my IPhone 5 and it worked great I upgraded to the iPhone 7 and now I'm having the same issue as you I'm not even using a Mac and I'm still having trouble putting local songs into my phone.

I've noticed that Spotify is a bit particular with what file types it will allow. If they're from the apple store in the form of an MP3, usually they'll sync. However, sometimes if they were downloaded off the internet spotify wont take them.

Yeah but im guessing most peoples local music is not from apple like me i download music off youtube into mp3 files.

The ones I'm trying to download were taken from a disk.  Specifically, it's the Super Smash Bros. Sountrack I got from preordering the game.

Yeah but it should be relatively simple to move them over and it's not I don't know what I'm doing wrong even though I know I'm not doing anything wrong.
