Local files syncing on iOS

Local files syncing on iOS

I am having difficulty syncing my local files. I added about 50 tracks to the "local files" folder on my Mac on spotify (latest version of spotify, Mac OS 10.7) and I want to have these files on my iPhone 5s as well (running iOS 7 with about 4 gigs of free space) When I connect my phone to the same wifi and open spotify, my iPhone appears under "devices" on my Mac. I have selected "choose manually" for which playlists should sync, and selected only "local files". Then, it says "pending", and the music doesn't sync. I don't know where to go from here. How do I solve this? Thanks

If you have physical tracks (Local Files) that's located on your computer, you need to make sure you open the Spotify app on your PC/Mac/Linux and head to the Devices Tab AND open the app on your iPhone.

If it still does not work, go to your iPhone and open a Personal Hotspot and connect your computer to the wifi network on your iPhone and all should be well!

If you need a video guide on how it works, follow this slightly outdated YouTube video (the idea is still the same though):

AND If you’re using a Mac, follow this guide to allow your Spotify to access through the firewall:

If you’re using Windows (here’s the Windows Firewalls rules):
