I want to be able to search in my play history for songs to prove i was listening to them before they were popular.

We moved your post from the Ideas board to the relevant Help board, where it fits better.

You can already check your recently played content in the mobile app. You can access it from your Home screen through the 

 icon.

Additionally, make sure to always keep your devices up-to-date so you don't miss out on new features.
