Music stops playing in sleep mode after 1.5.0 update when streaming to airplay

After updating my spotify app to 1.5.0, everything is working fine but when my device enters sleep mode, music stops playing.

When I go out of sleep mode, music continues playing.

No need to say that I would like to keep my music playing while in sleep mode, enough battery is used doing so. 🙂

I am on a iPod Touch (4G) with iOS 6.1.6 and using Airport Express v1 with latest firmware.

Before the update I never had this issue.

Anybody else has encountered this?

That's not good to hear at all.

They should help out with this. Let us know.

I have a problem, liske this, with sleeping Ipad 7.0.1 and a AppleTV and Airplay, when the Ipad goes to sleep, the music stop playing.

Airplay handling is managed by Apple's OS itself, and as far as I can remember, airplay should work with the screen shut off.

can you try to close all of the other apps by double tapping the home button and flicking up all of the other apps and try again

If it still doesn't work, you can switch off sleep mode:
Set the amount of time before it locks
Go to iPad Settings > General > Auto-Lock and choose “Never"

I got same issue music stop while ipad go to sleep mode. The IOS is 8.0.1 version.

I think there is nothing to do with IOS as "Pandora" can play even device go to sleep mode and airplay via Apple TV simutaneously

Have tried uninstall the spotify to latest verson and also disable the "screen lock " buttom. But I would like the developer can fix the issues.

This issue was fixed Just by rebooting My iOS device after installing the update.

The recommended action no working only for IPAD play only not for TV airplay. The music stop playing via Apple TV while my IPAD screen lock.

I think the paid memeber can have the previlege to use the connectioin device to play spotify.
