My Spotify plays through my FaceTime calls even when off

My Question or Issue

When I am on a FaceTime call, if I was listening to music at any point that day the music will play over the call. The other person can’t hear the music, and I can’t hear the other person. I have to go in to my Spotify app and then close out of it. I have turned off Shareplay. And this happens even when the Spotify app is not open. My music will also play after the call ends sometimes.

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community. This seems odd so let's take a closer look into this together.

Can you start with making sure there's no old cache files causing this by following the steps here?

Mine does the same thing. It is so frustrating when the person on the other end of the call starts playing music and then you can't hear them anymore because of the jam. When you press "turn off jam" it fixes it, but as soon as they play another song it turns back on again. Please fix this.
