Next song command

Good day,

I have spotify premium on my iphone. I use it alot while riding my bike.

Can I skip a song or go to the hext song by voice command or pushing a button on the apple earplug remote?

Double tapping the middle button on the iPhone headphone controls should skip to the next track.

This doesn't always work for me. Sometimes when I double click to skip a song it starts the music player and its no longer possible to control spotify with the in line remote. When this happens spotify doesn't show up in the lockscreen nor the control center.

I didn't encounter this problem approximately 1,5 month ago. I reinstalled spotify a couple of times and reset my iphone but the problem returns immediately.

Is there a way to solve this problem?
