No bass / Lower audio level via wireless apple carplay on new 2023 subaru

Hi, as the title states I have a 23 Subaru that has wireless carplay.
When I start the car it automatically launches carplay and plays spotify but the sound playing through the speakers has almost no bass even when equalizer and loudness settings are turned up via spotify on iphone.
Ive tried reinstalling spotify, changing settings and restarting my phone, but nothing works
