I'm on an iPad Air running IOS 8, and today I encountered a problem with the play queue. I accidentally added an entire playlist to it, and now no matter how many times I close and reopen the app, it won't clear the que. If I play songs from a different playlist, it just jumps back to the huge playlist I accidentally added as soon as the song finishes, pressing shuffle doesn't fix the problem either.
Any ideas? All help is greatly appreciated.
Solved! Go to Solution.
In case anyone has this problem in the future, I solved this by restarting my device, signing out of Spotify, quitting and reopening the app, and then signing back in.

Red Fox's suggestion to sign out and quit the App before signing in again worked for me. Many thanks Red Fox this has been driving me daft for weeks.
Better than no solution at all, but... Come on Spotify! Add a clear queue option!
How ridiculous that Spotify doesn't allow to see the queue clearly, let alone delete it, on either the ipad or iphone. A few years and still no solution but to log in and out. Useless.
I agree! Incredibly lame!! Why would anyone want to pay for this service?
not working for latest update
For information, iPad are the only devices that can't edit the play queue. Lame.

I solved this by double tapping on the album art of the “now playing” song, which brought me to a detail screen that had the queue icon below the image on the right hand side. There was an option to clear the queue there. Wish it were more straightforward but we got there in the end 😅
