I've triple checked all of my settings and spotify is definitely enabled to send me notifications through push and email and yet I still receive neither. This morning a band I follow, Avenged Sevenfold, released a new song on Spotify and I only found out through a friend because I never received a notification on my phone. I'm using an iPhone 7 plus on ios 10 but I had this same issue on my 6s. I'm also logging into spotify using my facebook account if that helps.
