OFFLINE PLAYLIST IS NOT DOWNLOADING - TRIED EVERYTHING!!

OFFLINE PLAYLIST IS NOT DOWNLOADING - TRIED EVERYTHING!!

I've been using Spotify for quite some time now, and I love it (most of the time) but recently when I mark my playlists for "Available Offline" some or one song(s) gets downloaded.

My iPhone and Mac are one the same Wifi network and the Spotify app is on and open for both. I used to have an Android and thought maybe it was my phone, so when I got my iPhone I thought it would work (I know, weird logic), but of course, it hasn't.

I'm sooo beyond frustrated! I use Spotify nearly everyday and when I can't listen to my songs I have to switch to my iTunes app, which is fine, but I'd love to have all of my music in one place (That's pretty much why I pay for for the premium every month)

If this makes any difference the songs I'm downloading have been purchased through iTunes, and when I try to sync my phone with the laptop there's nothing showing for devices.

I'm really close to just closing down my premium account because there's no point for me to pay for something when I can't truly benefit from it.

Hopefully someone can give me some helpful advice, thanks.

having the same problem - more than frustrated by now.

Thank you so much Spotify admins for not even caring enough about my issue to respond.

I did however find the solution to my problem from a fellow spotify member (mu2997a). Here's what they said to do.

"I have figured out a solution for Mac.
1) Go to System Preference

2) Click "Security"
3) Click the Firewall tab

4) Make sure Spotify is on the list of programs "allowed" by the Firewall.

5) *Most important step: Make sure the bubble at the top of the Firewall page that says "Allow all incoming connections" is checked. On mine, only the "essential services" button was checked, hence why Spotify wouldn't sync.
6) Lock to make the changes and it should work!"

Thank you so much, mu2997a!
