I have frequently been getting the message about more than three offline devices and have had to constantly resync my phone. Is there anyway I can have all my devices de-synced, so I can start off with just my current phone? Thanks

Sure that's done for you now. I recommend doing a clean reinstallation on your desktop and devices before syncing those playlists again.
Hi - Regarding the message saying that I have offline tracks on more than 3 devices. I have had this message so many times that it is now annoying me, resulting in me having to reload all my off line tracks on both my and my wifes iphones numerous times.
Am I right in thinking that I cannot manage the devices that are authourised on my account.
I have had to do this on my iphone twice this week already.
My enjoyment of Spotify is bginning to wane.
Please help
Hello ,
I just got that message too and i would like to my account to be reset as well ( I think my old phones count for this , or is it only active devices ? )
Thanks
Hi,
Would you be able to reset my devices please? Many thanks!
Ideally this should be something that users can do by themselves rather than to waste support staff time! Surely it can be implemented without much effort!
Hi thewanderingv - I've just reset those offline devices for you.
Any other users that need them reset should head over to this thread. We can then help from there 🙂
Hi -
Can I have my device list wiped please?
Also, two questions:
1) Will this eventually be a feature we can manage ourselves?
2) Why is there a 3 device limit? Will it be expanded?
Thanks!

Hey 🙂
Just to speed things up a little for you, be sure to post on the official topic for requesting device resets.
To answer your questions:
1. That would be amazing, and has been suggested over on the Ideas Exchange here so be sure to add your kudos and comments there.
2. The reason for the 3 device limit is down to the licensing agreements Spotify have with the rights holders. In the current system you can store 3,333 tracks on 3 devices. This has been suggested and discussed before but the amount of work required to make that change would be massive.

Can you reset my devices as well? I just got the limit message for the first time -- but I'm definitely not logged in at more than three devices, let alone have offline anything on more than my phone.
I have just over 200 songs available offline and I am getting messages saying disk space is full and I am not able add anymore songs to my playlists. Anyone know what I need to do to fix this?

Yes. It is on my laptop and I have about 60GB of free space on it. They have all synced to my phone (about 3GB of space) and my iPad has about 10GB remaining so none of the synced devices are struggling with space.
Issue with offline devices:
Look attacments:
Hi
I have a Premium account to allow proper offline mode but today it has stopped working.
I got the "you have exceeded the 3 device limit so we will take off this device" message in my main phone (Android). I had not added any new device anyway, so weird, but OK.
I have accessed my account, reset all off line devices, so no there is no off line device at all on my account. Still not working, can´t sync anything offline, keep getting the message.
I have shut down all sessions through the account tool. I have uninstalled Spotify completely and installed it again on my phone, including rebooting the phone. I have accessed the account again. Still not working.
I have only one account, so no way I mixed them. Never logged in through facebook, so not an option.
So here I am stranded with a premium account, blocked with the "more than 3 devices" issue and no way to make it work.
Any ideas? Thank you!
I'm deeply unamused with this ridiculous software fault!
I am often abroad working, in the Himalaya at present, without a good internet connection and for the umpteenth time this stupid software has once again declared that I have more than three devices synched and deleted all of my offline music. Even at home it ends up costing me a fortune to reload my music, such that this is making the software less and less appealing...
You need to apply a control such that if and when the software decides that there are imaginary devices connected, the user has an option to select the device to be wiped, optimally the imaginary one, rather than immediately wiping the device they have just connected.
Please fix this once and for all now or you will be losing a customer.
Version 6.2.0.1028 armV7
Can't believe this is still an issue 4 years later! There's really no excuse
Version 7.7.0.1179 armV7 on a Samsung Galaxy S7, fully updated Android 7.0, reinstalled and cache cleared multiple times, removed all offline devices using the tool at /uk/account/offline-devices/, which shows 1 offline device while the error message says I have 3. Something's not right here - what should we do?
Spotify Premium is of no use to me if I can't have offline tracks, so the subscription will be cancelled if it doesn't get fixed, and I'll find another streaming service
I wanted to add a new device today so went online and deleted the ones I don't use and started the download on my laptop. Then when I tried to access the app on my phone it had wiped my downloads saying I had reached my limit. I checked my online account and I only have 2 devices set up.
This is not the first time this has happened and it is extremely frustrating to continuously go and download all my offline tracks again. Can you please advise how this can be avoided? If this happens again I feel I will have to vote with my feet and switch to Google Music.
