Issue

when downloading song to save offline; counter of number of songs left gets stuck and does not advance even though more songs seem to download

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.
If you're still having trouble, can you send me a screen recording of what's happening? That way I can take a closer look.

I had the same issue over the weekend, running on an iPhone 11 with the same OS version as yours. A recent Spotify update, 8.8.54.544, became available on my Tuesday evening and upon installing it, resolved the issue. Probably good to give the latest version a try.
