Even when I'm connected to the internet it tells me I have to go online. I have my playback set as online and my data turned on but I'm still getting the notification.

Hey @Bannaxox!

 

Welcome to the Spotify Community.

 

It looks like your Spotify account might be in Offline Mode. In this case, just head to Settings > Playback > Offline Mode and switch it off. That should do the trick.
