Only local files were synced

When trying to sync to my iPhone I get the message "Only local files synced" on each of the other playlists.  What am I doing wrong????

I am struggling to sync my playlists and am starting to think the playlists that I have set up from Spotify content can't be sync'd.  Spotify instructions say - Please note that you can only sync your locally stored files to your iPod - does this mean the only content I can sync is music I own?  And conversely - the playlists from Spotify content can not be sync'd.

The FAQ explains this pretty well. Spotify content can only be downloaded to an ipod touch with a premium subscription as it is the only ipod capable of running the spotify app. On other ipods, you can only synch local files you already own.
