Never had any issues before but I today created a new playlist on my Mac however it seems to not want to sync to my iPhone with a playlist called 'Loading' appearing. Any help greatly appreciated. Have reinstalled Spotify app on iPhone and cleared cache on Mac.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Just wanted to say that I contacted spotify tech support using the enquiry form on the website. After 3 days I got a response from someone who said that this problem was being caused by a corrupt device list on my account. The device list is a just a record of all the computers and mobile devices on which you have previously installed spotify. Apparently offline synching is permitted on the 3 most recent devices. Anyway, this loading issue can crop up if the device list gets corrupt. The techy girl reset it for me. Then I had to delete the spotify app and resync my offlien playlists. Since then I have added 5 new playlists and the issue has not recurred.
Problem Solved.
For the record I have 250 playlists and, despite what one spotify support admin said initially, having more than 200 playlists is NOT what causes the problem.
If any of you still has this problem I would recommend you contact the tech support team using the enquiry form. There is a link to the form in an earlier post in this thread. Just ask for your device list to be reset. They'll tell you when it's been done.
I have this problem as well. Playlists take forever (ca one minute) to load. Cannot play music until they have done so. This is only a problem with playlists made within the last couple of months or so. Still haven't found a solution - is there one?
Samethign here. The playlists created since a couple of months ago need to be sync every single time I want to listen something. It's really annoying when you want to listen music on the metro and... eh! You don't get Internet connection there...
I'm having the same problem. Every time I open the iPhone app all my recent playlists sit at "Loading...". I'm often in remote areas without a mobile connection so the playlists can't be played. Pretty annoying when I just left the house with them synced!
I've been a paying member for over a year but this issue is really killing the usefullness of the app for me. Often it does this even when I have full 3G or I'm on wifi.
I've just upgraded to the latest version (0.5.8.73) but it's still doing it.
I'm using an iPhone 4 32gb with the latest IOS
Please could you apply the fix to my account, I also have most of the playlists "loading..." forever when on wifi, I also can't play songs when on wifi. I got a message this morning about having offline songs on more than 3 devices. I've only ever downloaded songs on my iphone not my computers.
app version 0.5.9.10, iOS 6.0.1
What's all this talk of optimising playlists? Can you please do that for me?
Thanks but it's not loading the playlists. I've tried quitting the app and then I deleted it completely and reinstalled. Still can't get the playlists to load.
Tracks play on 3G connection (yay!) but I've only got 1 to play on wifi connection.
I can (kind of) download some tracks to my phone on wifi (7 out of 12 on the playlist I just tried) and I'm sure it's a lot slower than before (definitely is slower on 3G). Of course I mainly want to download playlists on wifi so this is kinda important. It's also a bit random in the order it downloads them unlike before when it was in album order (handy if you're on an intermittent connection, on a train say).
Also, even when I have 3G or wifi connection the app is regularly saying "connecting..." at the top of the screen with everything else greyed out and inoperable until it sorts itself out.
This is totally unusable, it's a battle not entertainment, I'm using my iPod when I'm out nowadays so I can feel a Spotify downgrade coming on unfortunately.
I'm having the same problem as the rest...
Starting spotify on my Galaxy S2 and every time it reloads new playlists that i've already listened to, frustrating!!!
Can you please optimize my playlists aswell? I got a few playlists.....
I'm also having the same problem that @Kermikkel & @JarvisCocker were having... would much appreciate some maintenance too!
Hi! I'm having the same problem where one of my playlists just says "loading...". I reinstalled the app on my iphone 4s, but I still have the same problem. What to do?
I am having the same problem on my account, only a recent playlist is doing this. Tried to reinstall, all of the older playlists resync just fine. Please fix! 🙂 Thanks

I'm having the same problem. Two of my playlists are 'Loading' indefinitely on my mobile app (Android). Oddly enough, two others that were added within minutes of them are working fine. Please help!
Same problem in all my iOS devices!! please help! or i will stop paying spotify!
Can you try copying the tracks from a playlist that is not working, into a new playlist on your computer, copying a maximum of 331 tracks at a time? There appears to be an issue with playlist synching on the desktop client with the Spotify servers when you go over that limit. It has been reported as an issue internally by Spotify.
I would suggest you try copying them over in batches of 100 and see how that goes! Let me know if it helps!
