Problem with recent play grid on the home screen (iOS and Desktop app)

My Question or Issue

I listen to music very often and sometimes podcasts. Nothing from music ever appears in the grid surrounded by a red circle, only recently listened to podcasts. In screenshots from other people, I saw that recently listened playlists, artists, and so on are present in this grid. Tell me, what could be the reason?

Is it possible to hide this blocks because they are very annoying. They’re still showing me podcasts that I’m no longer subscribed

We really appreciate the time you took to let us know your comments on this. We can confirm currently is not possible to hide them. We'd like you to know other users had similar requests, so they posted some ideas about it in our Idea Boards. We located these ones:

• [All Platforms][Podcasts] Option to disable or hide podcasts entirely
• [All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

We think these are great ideas too! That's why we'd suggest adding your vote in the thumbs up icon and subscribing to them in the three-dot menu. That way you can stay up-to-date with any relevant news about these. Even though the status is set as Not right now as there are no immediate plans to implement this, it doesn't mean the idea has been rejected.
